![]() ![]() ![]() The easiest option is the “ Share via ” option. When you are done, you just hit stop and the preview screen appears with a few options of what you’d like to do with your video. As you record, you can keep track of your time, and notice as your approaching 5 minutes……. When you choose video, your screen will be recorded as well as your voice will be recorded through your computers mic. Then decide if you want to capture an image or video. You can select a window, parts of a window, or you can click to drag your crosshairs, to select a specific area. Your cursor will then be activated with the crosshairs, so that you can select what you want to record. To record, put your mouse over the left option with the crosshairs. When you put your mouse over the sun, 3 options appear. You will always be able to see this little sun no matter what other applications you are using. You’ll know when Jing is running on your computer when you see a little sun at the top of your computer. You’ll want to download the software to your computer, and install it. Go ahead and click on that listing, and you’ll be taken right to the Jing download page. The first listing that comes up is Techsmith. Just go to Google, and do a search for Jing. It now provides a refurbished screen capture and recording tool with very good response time and simple usage. TechSmith Capture successfully replaces the outdated Jing, providing a present-time software utility that removes Flash support. Capture screenshots and record the screen with ease The clip is not saved locally, which might be an inconvenient to some, but you can share it via Screencast. However, there are no annotation tools available in this case. Video recording preview is also possible. Alternatively, you can send it to TechSmith Capture's queue and upload it at a later time. The snapshot can then be saved, copied, deleted or uploaded to Screencast. You can draw arrows, shapes or callouts and use the highlighter to point something out. TechSmith Capture displays a preview of the screenshot, where you can use the available annotation tools to highlight important areas. The selected area is highlighted, while the rest of the desktop is shadowed and a toolbar is displayed to let you choose whether to take a screenshot or record the desktop activity. It is advisable you hit the F1 help button to get instructions on how to perform the target selection, at least until you get used to the application. TechSmith Capture can also capture or record the entire screen. Once you hit the capture button to use the SHIFT+F11 key combination, a target symbol is displayed, allowing you to choose the region or the window to capture. A section of the GUI is hidden, namely the upload queue for sharing screenshots and recordings, as detailed in the following. The application displays a simple window with a single red and shiny button to start capturing.
